In our second workshop with Friends of Shahnameh we re-enacted the story of Bijan and Manijeh and warmed up with some movements from the Zoorkhaneh. Our workshop participants also learnt this poem by Ferdowsi:

ستوده تر آنکس بود در جهان

که نیکی کند آشکار و نهان

Sotode-tar aan kas bovad dar jahan

Ke niki konad ashkar va nahan

Whoever who does good deeds,

excel all others

After a quick break, our workshop participants were encouraged to reflect on their memories of Nowruz, Persian New Year, by sharing their stories and drawing their experiences and objects associated with the holiday.
